Tommy DeVito
Tommy DeVito Projected to be Maye's top backup
Mon, Mar 23, 2026, 11:22 AM
With the Patriots slated to release Joshua Dobbs, DeVito now is the team's projected No. 2 QB, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: DeVito, who worked as New England's No. 3 signal-caller last season behind Dobbs and starter Drake Maye, signed a two-year deal to remain with the team earlier this month. Per Reiss, the base value of DeVito's new contract is $4.4 million and includes incentives that could increase its value to $7.4 million. Though the 27-year-old didn't see any regular-season action in 2025, he did log a total of eight starts during his two seasons (2023 and 2024) with the Giants. With Dobbs no longer in the mix, look for the Patriots to add QB depth as the offseason progresses, possibly via next month's draft.
Julian Hill
Julian Hill Leaves Miami for division rival
Wed, Mar 11, 2026, 4:57 PM
Hill agreed to terms Wednesday on a three-year contract with the Patriots, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Hill fits with New England as a depth option and blocker behind starting tight end Hunter Henry, a role opened up by the departure of Austin Hooper to Atlanta. Regardless of the change of scenery, Hill's realistic realm of outcomes for 2026 likely doesn't include attaining fantasy relevance, as across 14 regular-season appearances with the Dolphins in 2025 he managed only 150 receiving yards (a career high). That said, at 6-foot-4, 251 pounds, Hill could emerge as an option for quarterback Drake Maye in the red zone.
Romeo Doubs
Romeo Doubs Headed to New England
Tue, Mar 10, 2026, 1:28 PM
Doubs and the Patriots have reached an agreement on a four-year contract, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: The initial report has it as a four-year deal for "roughly" $70 million. In fantasy terms, this is about as good as it gets, with Doubs joining a receiver-needy offense that already has a franchise QB in place. He averaged 50.5 catches for 606 yards and 5.3 TDs on 80.0 targets in four seasons with Green Bay. The contract and situation in New England hint at some degree of upside for additional target volume, but it's also possible Doubs doesn't have much more to offer. If nothing else, he's a competent starter at a clear position of need, entering what should be his prime (Doubs will turn 26 in April).
Reggie Gilliam
Reggie Gilliam Agrees to join NE for three years
Mon, Mar 9, 2026, 1:13 PM
Gilliam agreed to a three-year contract worth up to $12 million with the Patriots on Monday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Gilliam's deal, which can be made official Wednesday at the start of the new league year, includes $6 million in guaranteed money and a salary of $4.4 million in the first year. The fullback spent the previous six seasons with the NFC East rival Bills, compiling 16 catches for 135 yards and two touchdowns, as well as eight carries for 14 yards, in 94 regular-season appearances.
Tommy DeVito
Tommy DeVito Stays in New England
Fri, Mar 6, 2026, 12:38 PM
DeVito signed a two-year, $7.4 million deal with the Patriots on Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Only $2 million of DeVito's new contract is guaranteed, but he's now set to remain in New England after spending his 2025 campaign as the team's emergency third quarterback. The Illinois product appeared in 12 regular-season games with the Giants from 2023 to 2024, completing 145 of his 222 pass attempts for 1,358 yards, eight touchdowns and three interceptions. With Drake Maye and Joshua Dobbs both under contract for the 2026 season, DeVito is expected to remain the Patriots' No. 3 QB.
Stefon Diggs
Stefon Diggs Set to be released
Wed, Mar 4, 2026, 2:31 PM
The Patriots informed Diggs on Wednesday that he will be released after the start of the new league year March 11, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Diggs rebounded well from an ACL tear that cut his 2024 campaign with Houston short, playing all 17 regular-season games for New England and totaling an 85-1,013-4 receiving line (102 targets) as the No. 1 receiver for Drake Maye in 2025. Per Pelissero, the transaction will allow the Patriots to avoid paying Diggs the $6 million option in his contract that would have become fully guaranteed next Friday, March 13. Now entering his age-33 season, Diggs will need to search for a new landing spot, while New England figures to prioritize searching for a new No. 1 wideout in free agency and/or April's draft. Diggs pleaded not guilty in mid-February to criminal charges stemming form an alleged dispute with his personal chef, which include include a charge of felony strangulation, and he has a pretrial hearing scheduled for April 1.

Stefon Diggs Pleads not guilty
Fri, Feb 13, 2026, 10:46 AM
Diggs pleaded not guilty Friday to criminal charges stemming from an alleged dispute Dec. 2 with his personal chef, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Diggs' attorney said the wide receiver "categorically denies" the allegations, which include a charge of felony strangulation. Diggs' arraignment was postponed until after the Super Bowl to allow him to play in the game. Following his Friday arraignment, Diggs is next scheduled to appear April 1 for a pretrial hearing.
Efton Chism
Efton Chism Appears in games in rookie season
Wed, Feb 11, 2026, 9:22 PM
Chism caught three passes for 75 yards and a touchdown across eight regular-season games during the 2025 season.
Analysis: Chism joined the team as an undrafted free agent last May and was able to earn a spot on the active roster but only saw limited action on offense for most of the season. The 24-year-old didn't record his first reception until Week 17 and will look to earn a larger role in New England's offense during the 2026 season.
Joshua Dobbs
Joshua Dobbs Attempts 10 passes in 2025
Wed, Feb 11, 2026, 9:13 PM
Dobbs appeared in four regular-season games during the 2025 campaign and completed seven of his 10 pass attempts for 65 yards and carried the ball 10 times for a loss of five yards.
Analysis: Dobbs served as Drake Maye's backup but only saw action in garbage time. Dobbs has one more year remaining on his contract and will likely continue to serve as New England's No. quarterback during the 2026 season.
Elijah Mitchell
Elijah Mitchell Signs with New England
Wed, Feb 11, 2026, 7:08 PM
The Patriots signed Mitchell to a reserve/future contract Wednesday.
Analysis: Mitchell spent time on the team's practice squad late last season but didn't appear in any games and was ultimately released in January. The 27-year-old also appeared in one game with the Chiefs during the 2025 campaign, playing seven offensive snaps and failing to haul in his lone target.
Hunter Henry
Hunter Henry Strong production in 2025
Wed, Feb 11, 2026, 6:55 PM
Henry caught 60 of 87 targets for 768 yards and seven touchdowns over 17 games during the 2025 regular season.
Analysis: Henry was able to appear in all 17 of the team's regular-season contests for the first time since 2022, and he notched a career-high 768 receiving yards. His seven touchdowns were his highest total since 2021, and he reeled in at least 60 passes for the second straight year and third time overall in his 10-year NFL career. The tight end also caught nine of 15 targets for 112 yards and a score over the Patriots' four games during the postseason. Henry has developed into being quite a reliable option for quarterback Drake Maye, and he'll look to keep it up in 2026.
DeMario Douglas
DeMario Douglas Decreased usage in 2025
Wed, Feb 11, 2026, 6:40 PM
Douglas caught 31 of 46 targets for 447 yards and three touchdowns while logging seven carries for 21 yards over 17 contests during the 2025 regular season.
Analysis: Douglas garnered only 288 total offensive snaps, which was 186 fewer than his previous low (474) from his rookie campaign in 2023. As a result of the smaller workload, the wide receiver recorded the fewest receptions and receiving yards of his three-year career with New England. With Stefon Diggs, Kayshon Boutte, Mack Hollins and 2025 third-rounder Kyle Williams all under contract at wide receiver for next season, Douglas will enter 2026 on an expiring deal with limited upside.
Kyle Williams
Kyle Williams Limited production in rookie season
Wed, Feb 11, 2026, 6:25 PM
Williams caught 10 of 21 targets for 209 yards and three touchdowns while also registering 290 kickoff-return yards over 17 contests during the 2025 regular season.
Analysis: Williams spent the majority of his rookie campaign as the team's No. 5 option at wide receiver behind Stefon Diggs, Kayshon Boutte, Mack Hollins and DeMario Douglas. Williams was able to notch only two multi-catch performances while going without a reception in nine games. The wide receiver was able to find the end zone in three separate contests, most notably breaking loose for a 72-yard score in Week 10 against the Buccaneers. The 2025 third-rounder will look to take a step up in his sophomore campaign with New England next year.
Kayshon Boutte
Kayshon Boutte Steady production in third campaign
Wed, Feb 11, 2026, 6:16 PM
Boutte caught 33 of 46 targets for 551 yards and six touchdowns over 14 games during the 2025 regular season.
Analysis: Boutte saw a slight dip in receiving yards while reeling in 10 fewer passes in his third campaign with New England, but his six scores were double his combined total from his first two years in the league. The wide receiver became a go-to option for second-year quarterback Drake Maye on the deep ball, as his 16.7 yards per reception ranked fifth in the NFL during the regular season. Additionally, Boutte caught nine of 20 targets for a team-high 168 receiving yards, including a 32-yard touchdown, over the Patriots' four postseason contests.
TreVeyon Henderson
TreVeyon Henderson Mixes in with Stevenson
Sun, Feb 8, 2026, 11:13 PM
Henderson rushed the ball six times for 19 yards in Sunday's 29-13 loss to the Seahawks in Super Bowl 60. He added three receptions on three targets for 26 yards.
Analysis: Henderson's overall struggles to rush efficiently in the postseason continued in the Super Bowl, though the New England offense was stalled for much of the game. Henderson's overall production was also inflated by a 24-yard catch and run on the game's final plays. However, he had a fairly even split with Rhamondre Stevenson in terms of touches, and he did manage long runs of nine and seven yards. Henderson is likely to begin the 2026 season on the smaller end of a backfield split in New England, though he showcased his ability to produce plenty on limited touches throughout this rookie season thanks to his big-play ability -- something that is likely to continue in his sophomore campaign.
Mack Hollins
Mack Hollins Bright spot in SB 60 loss
Sun, Feb 8, 2026, 11:03 PM
Hollins recorded four receptions on eight targets for 78 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 29-13 loss to the Seahawks in Super Bowl 60.
Analysis: Hollins led the Patriots in targets and receiving yards, with the majority of his production coming on consecutive catches early in the fourth quarter. The first went for 24 yards over a crowded middle of the field, and Hollins then beat a couple of Seattle defenders to the corner of the end for a 35-yard score. Hollins remains under contract for 2026 and could be back with New England, though the team could also opt to cut and save roughly $4.5 million on the salary cap.
Stefon Diggs
Stefon Diggs Held to three catches in Super Bowl
Sun, Feb 8, 2026, 10:41 PM
Diggs recorded three catches on three targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 29-13 loss to the Seahawks in Super Bowl 60.
Analysis: The Patriots couldn't sustain offense for the majority of the game and were playing with desperation by the time they were able to move the ball down the field late in the fourth quarter. That led to a very quiet game for Diggs, particularly considering that 26 of his 37 yards came on a reception with 2:58 remaining in the fourth quarter and with the Patriots down three scores. Though Diggs failed to surpass 40 receiving yards in any of New England's postseason games, he still managed 1,013 yards across 17 regular-season contests and remains a solid possession receiver. He remains under contract with New England and is very likely to be one of Drake Maye's top targets once again in 2026.
Rhamondre Stevenson
Rhamondre Stevenson Catches late TD in Super Bowl 60
Sun, Feb 8, 2026, 10:23 PM
Stevenson rushed the ball seven times for 23 yards in Sunday's 29-13 loss to the Seahawks in Super Bowl 60. He added five receptions on five targets for 40 yards and a touchdown.
Analysis: Stevenson began the game as a key part of New England's game plan, though the team's inability to maintain drives limited his impact. All seven of his carries came in the first half, and the majority of his production as a pass catcher came with the Patriots down by multiple scores. The highlights of Stevenson's performance were a long reception of 13 yards and a seven-yard touchdown grab just before the two-minute warning. Stevenson fended off TreVeyon Henderson as the lead back in 2025, though Stevenson may lose a bit more of his volume, as the duo projects to split the Patriots' backfield again in 2026.
Drake Maye
Drake Maye Tough showing in Super Bowl
Sun, Feb 8, 2026, 10:10 PM
Maye completed 27 of 43 passes for 295 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's 29-13 loss in the Super Bowl to the Seahawks. He added five rushes for 37 yards and also lost a fumble.
Analysis: It's unclear if a nagging shoulder injury impacted Maye's performance, but he was stymied by Seattle's defense for the vast majority of Super Bowl 60. He had 60 passing yards through three quarters, and his most meaningful contribution to the game came on consecutive passes early in the final quarter, with the Patriots down three scores, when he found Mack Hollins for gains of 24 and 35 yards -- the latter of which went for a touchdown. Maye's performance was otherwise dominated by negative plays, as he was sacked six times for a loss of 43 yards, and he also turned the ball over three times - two of which led directly to touchdowns for the Seahawks. Though it was a disappointing close to the season, Maye had a breakout sophomore campaign by posting a 31:8 TD:INT while averaging 8.9 yards per attempt across 17 regular-season games.
Tommy DeVito
Tommy DeVito Emergency QB for Super Bowl
Sun, Feb 8, 2026, 4:12 PM
DeVito (coach's decision) is inactive but will serve as the Patriots' emergency third quarterback for Super Bowl LX against the Seahawks on Sunday.
Analysis: As he's done for the whole 2025 season, DeVito will be the emergency QB3 behind Drake Maye and Joshua Dobbs. That means DeVito is prohibited from playing Sunday unless both Maye and Dobbs were to leave the game due to injury, illness or ejection.
